So, today I am sooo excited to share a new family favorite recipe that I created … called Steak Fajita Spaghetti! I typically make a chicken spaghetti from time to time and wanted to change it up a bit. Not to Mention…a couple months ago we had a cow slaughtered so we happen to have a lot of beef right now that I am trying to be creative with! :0

Steak Fajita Spaghetti

This is a very tasty dish that is pretty simple to throw together and who doesn’t love a one dish meal! I know that with having a baby on the way that I am always looking for meals that I can freeze and pop in the oven so this is definitely going on my post par tum freezer  meal rotation!

Steak Fajita Spaghetti

Anyways… this is made of angel hair spaghetti ,Steak, cream of mushroom, sour cream, onions,peppers, rotel,Fajita seasoning and cheese… all thrown together into this beautiful dish! If you don’t have steak then you can always change this dish to chicken and make it a Chicken Fajita Spaghetti!

Making Steak Fajita Spaghetti…

  • Preheat oven to 350- Spray or lightly oil a 9 x 13 Casserole Dish.
  • Slice 1 lb. of Steak into thin, bite size strips.
  • In a medium size bowl; Mix together Steak and 1 Tablespoon of Fajita seasoning and set aside.
    • In case you are wondering, I just get a pack of fajita seasoning at my local grocery.. this should be where your taco seasoning packets are.
  • Start Cooking a Half package of angel hair noodles- about 8 oz. I cook mine about a minute less then directed.
  • Lightly oil a medium Skillet with about 2 tsp of oil over medium high heat.
  • Slice onion and Peppers and add to your skillet; Cook about 2 minutes.
  • Add steak to skillet and cook 4-5 more minutes; until meat is Cooked through.
  • Thoroughly drain cooked spaghetti in a strainer and add to a large mixing bowl/
  • Add Cooked meat and vegetables.
  • Add two cans of Cream of Mushroom, 1 Cup of Sour Cream, 1 Can of drained Mild Rotel, the remaining Seasoning Packet and 1 1/2 Cups Mexican Cheese.
  • Mix together and then evenly spread into prepared casserole dish; top with remaining 1 cup of cheese.
  • Place in oven and bake for 20 Minutes.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh cilantro; Serve!

I cant tell you how much we LOVE this dish!! I recently revisited this recipe.. to do some updating for you all and Forgot just how much we love this! My 4 year old asked for 3 helpings! :0 It is just cram full of flavor and creamy goodness!

Steak Fajita Spaghetti

A creamy baked spaghetti recipe with Steak Fajita style! Creamy,Cheesy and Full of Flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Steak Round steak , sirloin or even venison
  • 1 Packet Fajita Seasoning mix
  • 1/2 box Angel Hair noodles (8 oz)
  • 2 teaspoons Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Onion Sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Bell Pepper Sliced
  • 2 10 oz. Can Cream of Mushroom
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 10 oz. can Rotel Drained
  • 2 1/2 C. Shredded Mexican Cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Fresh Cilantro Leaves Chopped Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350- Spray or lightly oil a 9 x 13 Casserole Dish.

  • Cook your pasta 1 minute less then directed on package; drain and pour into large mixing bowl.
  • Lightly oil a medium Skillet with about 2 tsp of oil over medium high heat.
  • Slice onion and Peppers and add to your skillet; Cook about 2 minutes.
  • Add steak to skillet and cook 4-5 more minutes; until meat is Cooked through.
  • Add Cooked meat and vegetables to your bowl with Noodles.
  • Add two cans of Cream of Mushroom, 1 Cup of Sour Cream, 1 Can of drained Rotel, the remaining Seasoning Packet and 1 1/2 Cups Mexican Cheese. Mix well and spread into prepared Casserole dish. Top with remaining 1 cup of cheese.
  • Place in the oven for 20 minutes till hot and bubbly.
  • Remove from Oven; sprinkle with fresh chopped Cilantro and Serve.

Wondering if you have tried this recipe in an insta pot
Maybe 4 minutes to cook pasta?
One pot, no waiting for pasta to cook?

I have actually yet to buy me an instapot😆 I would think that it would work fine, please let me know how it goes if you give this a try!

I left out the cilantro as I don’t care for it, added a can of mushrooms and used the already cooked fajita beef.I have to say it was a excellent great recipe. We’ll have it again 👍

I didn’t have any spaghetti on hand so I used penne and it was outstanding!!! Even my picky eater loved it! Thank you for an awesome recipe!
