Chocolate Chip Danish Cookies

Today I wanted to share with all of you my favorite Christmas Cookie Recipe for Chocolate Chip Danish Cookies! You may know these as Spanish wedding Cookies, Danish Tea Cookies or Snow Ball cookies as I already mentioned!

    Chocolate Chip Danish Cookies

    I have stuck with calling them “Chocolate Chip Danish Cookies” just because that is simply what they remind me of! Whatever you choose to call them, they are a sure delight anytime of the year with their crunchy, melt in your mouth center and sweet sugary coating!

    Chocolate Chip Danish Cookies

    I have tried these many different ways but this has been my favorite way that I make these Cookies! I am always certain to get a cookie full of flavor and a crunchy yet melt in your mouth center!

    Chocolate Chip Danish Cookies

    Ingredients

    • 1 Stick Salted Butter Softened
    • 1 1/4 C. Powder Sugar Divided
    • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
    • 1/8 tsp. Coconut Extract
    • 1 C. +2 T. All Purpose Flour
    • 1/4 C. Mini Chocolate Chips
    • 1/4 C. Chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 400
    • Using a mixer; mix your butter and 1/4 C. of powder sugar. Add both extracts and mix well. Slowly mix in your flour.
    • Using a spoon; Stir in your Chocolate chips and Nuts if using.
    • Using about a 1/2 T. per cookie; roll out and slightly flatten onto your cookie sheet. You should end with approximately 30 very small cookies.
    • Place in oven and cook for 9-10 min or until starting to lightly brown on edges.
    • Remove from oven and begin dipping each cookie into the remaining powder sugar and place onto a cooling rack.
    • Once finished and cookies have cooled; dip one more additional time into your powder sugar.
