Tiger Butter Fudge

Making Herstory

As a family; we get very excited about traveling, rather its an hour away, a weekend getaway or a week long vacation. We love loading up our vehicle throwing in a Adventures in Odyssey for “The Kids” 😉 and driving to new places! One thing that I love about traveling is trying new small chain restaurants, home goods, Candy and Fudge Shops! On that note, one of Our favorite types of fudge to get at fudge shops is called “Tiger butter Fudge” , its this creamy white fudge with a peanut butter center and stripes of chocolate on top.

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to food I really like… I would like to eat it more then once a year or so! Thats When I started searching for a recipe and to my surprise when I started searching for a tigers butter fudge, everything that came up was more of a chocolatey fudge with peanut butter. No recipes that I found were the White fudge that I have come to Love soo much! Dont get me wrong, those recipes looked good but still not what I wanted!

I’m Not sure who originally was given the title of Tiger butter fudge… all I knew was that I had to come up with a recipe that would suite my craving! So after much time, calories and lots of taste testing … here is what I came up with.

My hopes is that I am not the only one that has been scoping out a recipe for this fudge! No more searching, here it is Tigers butter fudge just like you remember! If you have never tasted this fudge then I promise that you are in for a real treat and will not be disappointed!

  • 1 1/2 Stick Salted Butter 3/4 C.
  • 3 C. Sugar
  • 2/3 C. Evaporated Miilk One 5 oz. Can
  • 2 C. White Chocolate chips or Melting Chips
  • 1 7oz. Container of Marshmallow Creme
  • 3/4 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. Almond extract
  • 1 T. Butter
  • 3/4 C. Peanut butter
  • 2 T. Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Grease a 9x13 pan and line with parchment paper where it comes up on both sides of pan. Set aside.
  • Using a medium size saucepan; bring 1 1/2 stick of butter sugar and milk to a rolling boil over medium high heat. While waiting to boil place peanut butter and 1 T. of butter on stove on low or in microwave for 15 second increments for 30-45 seconds until the peanut butter becomes runny and easy to pour. Cover and set aside.
  • Once your cream mixture is at a rolling boil then set the timer for a total of 3 minutes making sure to stir. Remove from heat and stir in your marshmallow cream, white chips and both extracts. Once well incorporated eye ball about half of your mixture into your pan, pour your peanut butter over this leaving maybe a couple Tablepoons to drizzle on top, then pour the remaing fude over your peanut butter be ing careful as you spread. ( Its okay if some of your peanut butter swirls intto your fudge :))
  • Lastly, I heat my Chocolate Chips in the microwave for 10-15 second increments until smooth. Drizzle your remaing peanut butter and chocolate over the fudge and then place in refridgerater for about 2 hours to set up.
  • You Should be able to lift the parchment paper straight from your dish amd have a pretty descent slab of fudge. You may use a knife and trim up around the edge and clear off the excess peanut butter, then cut into small squares.

This recipe is really delicious. I was missing my fudge I normally get in Gatlinburg. I made this but I made a couple changes to help it mimic my favorite from Chocolate Monkey. I doubled the peanut butter filling and then I melted a cup of milk chocolate chips to spread over the top. Soooo delicious and even better than Gatlinburg. Thanks for this recipe!

This reminds me of my favourite fudge from Buc-ees! I’m fairly new to making fudge but this was easy enough to follow along with, and flexible enough to have a little wiggle room when I made a few hiccups along the way. Thank you for this fun, easy, and tasty recipe! 🙂
