So if you are on any kind of diet or counting your carbs…. You need to leave now!! These Dinner rolls are probably my family’s favorite thing I put on the table… especially my 3 year old daughter. Sometimes its the only way I can get her to eat everything else on her plate is to promise her an extra roll. ( Hey whatever works..right)

Yes, these take a little more planning but I love to just keep them made up and pull them out with any meal to just set the meal a little over the top. Not to mention….they never cease to impress your company!
Making Our Favorite Dinner Rolls…
- Preheat your oven to 200- Oil large Cookie Sheet
- Using your best hand held mixer or your upright kitchen Mixer; mix milk and Instant dry Yeast/Fast Rise.
- Whisk all remaining dry ingredients in a separate bowl then Mix half into the milk and yeast mixture.
- Add in your whisked egg and softened butter.
- Switch to a dough hook or use your hand to knead in the remaining flour for about 5-6 Minutes. If using hands you may want to grease or flour them before because dough will be sticky!
- Remove your dough hook and allow to set for about 5 minutes covered with a towel.
- Shut off the oven
- Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; roll out to about a 14 x 9 in. rectangle- 1/4 In. thick.
- Cut into about 4 rows long ways and then make about 24 rectangles;place onto lightly oil cookie sheet.
- If you are going to bake these later– Then Cover with Plastic wrap and place in the Refrigerator at this point. (See Below)
- Lightly cover Rolls with lightweight towel or place foil lightly on top. Set in oven and leave in there for 40-60 minutes until rolls have doubled in size. Remove from oven.
- Preheat oven to 350- once preheated place rolls back in oven and bake for 7-9 minute; until a light golden on top. Brush with 2 T. melted Butter.
There you have it! You can pair these rolls with just about any meals and they are even a great addition to some of my favorite soups! I personally like to whip up a batch of my cinnamon butter Recipe Below!

- Dissolve the yeast first in your Warm milk and set for 5-10 minutes to activate the yeast before adding the rest of your ingredients.
- After mixing in all the ingredients; you need to allow the dough to rise for 40-60 minutes until doubled in size. Punch down the dough, then roll out and continue following steps of Recipe.

If you want to make these rolls at a earlier time and cook later follow these steps-

- Cut into about 4 rows long ways and then make about 24 rectangles;place onto lightly oil cookie sheet. Cover with Plastic Wrap and Set in the Refrigerator till ready to bake. You may leave for up to 3-4 Days at most.
- Remove Rolls and allow to set uncovered in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Preheat Oven to 350
- Place in oven and Bake 7-9 Minutes till a light Golden! ( Mine only Take 7 min)
- Brush with 2 T. melted Butter. Serve.

Ingredients
Dinner Rolls
- 1 1/4 Cup Warm Milk
- 2 1/4 teaspoon Instant Active Dry Yeast Fast Rise Yeast
- 1 large Egg
- 3 1/2 Cup Bread flour You can Use All Purpose
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 4 Tablespoon Melted Butter 1/2 for dough 1/2 For Brushing
- 1 teaspoon Salt
Cinnamon Butter
- 1 Stick Salted Butter
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Powder Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200- Lightly grease a large cookie sheet.
- In Kitchen Aid Bowl or a large mixing Bowl; pour in warm milk and *Instant/ Fast Rise yeast*
- In a another large mixing bowl; whisk together your remaining dry ingredients.
- Slowly mix in half of flour mixture into Milk and yeast with your mixer on low speed.
- Mix in Whisked Egg and Softened butter.
- If using a kitchen aid- Remove paddle attachment and switch to Dough hook . Add the other half of your flour mixture. Allow to knead for 5-6 min with dough Hook over medium-low speed. Remove dough hook and Cover lightly with towel for about 5 min..
- *Or Knead in remaining flour by hand for 6 min, then lightly cover with towel and allow to rest for 5 Min
- Turn off the oven
- Roll out to about a 14x9 rectangle at 1/4 inch thick and cut into rectangles. Place onto greased cookie sheet and then into your warm oven for 40-60 minutes- Rolls should double in size. This could take longer or less time so just check them by turning your oven light on.
- Remove from oven and preheat oven to 350.
- Place back in preheated oven and cook for 7-9 Minutes or until a light golden color. Brush with remaining 2 Tablespoons of melted butter.
Cinnamon Butter
- Using your stand mixer or hand held; Whisk your butter over medium-high for 5-7 Minutes; stop the mixer and scrape the sides 1-2 times. You want to whisk the butter until it becomes almost white and very fluffy! This gives it a very light and fluffy texture!
- Add your honey, Powder sugar and cinnamon and mix till just combined. Serve immediately with rolls. If you make ahead and set in the refrigerator then you will want to remove it and allow to come to room temperature ahead of time.
