Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200- Lightly grease a large cookie sheet.
  • In Kitchen Aid Bowl or a large mixing Bowl; pour in warm milk and *Instant/ Fast Rise yeast*
  • In a another large mixing bowl; whisk together your remaining dry ingredients.
  • Slowly mix in half of flour mixture into Milk and yeast with your mixer on low speed.
  • Mix in Whisked Egg and Softened butter.
  • If using a kitchen aid- Remove paddle attachment and switch to Dough hook . Add the other half of your flour mixture. Allow to knead for 5-6 min with dough Hook over medium-low speed. Remove dough hook and Cover lightly with towel for about 5 min..
  • *Or Knead in remaining flour by hand for 6 min, then lightly cover with towel and allow to rest for 5 Min
  • Turn off the oven
  • Roll out to about a 14x9 rectangle at 1/4 inch thick and cut into rectangles. Place onto greased cookie sheet and then into your warm oven for 40-60 minutes- Rolls should double in size. This could take longer or less time so just check them by turning your oven light on.
  • Remove from oven and preheat oven to 350.
  • Place back in preheated oven and cook for 7-9 Minutes or until a light golden color. Brush with remaining 2 Tablespoons of melted butter.

Cinnamon Butter

  • Using your stand mixer or hand held; Whisk your butter over medium-high for 5-7 Minutes; stop the mixer and scrape the sides 1-2 times. You want to whisk the butter until it becomes almost white and very fluffy! This gives it a very light and fluffy texture!
  • Add your honey, Powder sugar and cinnamon and mix till just combined. Serve immediately with rolls. If you make ahead and set in the refrigerator then you will want to remove it and allow to come to room temperature ahead of time.

Notes

Note: This makes quite few rolls; So 10-12 or so out for dinner then put the rest on a cookie sheet to freeze. Once they are no longer tacky; I seal them in freezer bags for another day. I have had them in the freezer for over a month and they do Great! Just make sure to remove them the morning you plan to use them.
* Make sure to use a yeast that says instant Yeast/ Fast Rise/rapid rise yeast or Quick Rise. If you are using regular dry yeast; you will need to add the Following steps-
  • Dissolve the yeast first in your Warm milk and set for 5-10 minutes to activate the yeast before adding the rest of your ingredients.
  • After mixing in all the ingredients; you need to allow the dough to rise for 40-60 minutes until doubled in size. Punch down the dough, then roll out and continue following steps of Recipe.
