Sweet Onion White Baked Beans

Sweet Onion Baked Beans

Good Morning! Thought I would start this week off with a new side dish! I came up with this own rendition of baked beans using some cans of great northern beans that I happened to have on hand. They make me think… “Classy” style baked beans… ( maybe that is what I should have named them :)) I’ve decided on just- Sweet Onion Baked Beans!

Sweet Onion Baked Beans

When I made these.. my husband took a bite and said, “I wasn’t expecting that!”… This either means a good thing or a bad thing so I just kept looking at him for more of a response, which did come! He proceeded to say ” These are really good, they are like baked beans.. yet different…” I do come up with some pretty crazy stuff sometimes… which sometimes is a good thing and other times terrible!

Sweet Onion Baked beans

This was a winner in our book! I am always excited to come up with a new winner with my family and who doesn’t love a new side dish! I love these because they have such a different taste then your average baked beans! Don’t get me wrong , I love a traditional Baked bean Recipe! These beans are a great way to change it up though! They have more of a sweet/tagy taste with a onion flavor!
