Perfect Fried Apples

- 5 Cup Sliced Apples About 5 Large Apples
- 2 Tablespoons Butter Salted*
- 3/4 C.up Water
- 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Corn Starch
- 1/3 C. Water
In a medium size skillet ; add your butter and allow to melt over medium heat.
In a medium mixing bowl; mix together your apples, 3/4 C.water, both sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice together . Pour into skillet with butter and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to just a low simmer .
Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes or until desired tenderness.* Remove apples with slotted spoon ( leaving any juices) and place into small heat safe casserole dish.
Heat skillet with remaining juices to just a light simmer over low heat.
In a small bowl or measuring Cup; mix your remaining 1/3 Cup water and corn starch till well combined. Whisk into skillet and allow to thicken over low heat for 1-2 minutes. Pour over apples and lightly mix in. Serve Warm.
* Add 1/8 tsp of salt if using unsalted butter.
- Apple cook time will depend on how thick your slices are/ mine takes about 12 minutes.
