  • 2 1/2 T. Milk
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 C. Powder Sugar
  • 1/2 C. Coconut flakes
  • 1/4 C. Finely chopped Pecans optional

Instructions

Cookies

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Using a mixer; mix your butter and both sugars to light and fluffy. Add in your egg and vanilla.
  • Sift together your remaining dry ingredients; then gradually add to your batter until well Incorporated.
  • Using a medium size cookie scoop or your hands to roll out into about 1 in. balls; spreading a couple in. apart onto your cookie sheet.
  • Place in oven and bake for 8-9 minutes.edges will start to look crisp and middle should look slightly soft. (Mine take right at 8 min)
  • Allow to set on cookie sheet for a couple minutes then remove onto wire rack for cooling.
  • Bake ALL cookies before making your glaze! This will keep your glaze from firming up on you.

Glaze

  • Using a medium size saucepan; melt your butter over medium heat.
  • Add your Brown sugar and bring to a boil. Lower heat to a medium low heat and continue to cook for 2 min.
  • Stir in your milk and vanilla and heat thru 1 more minute. Remove from Heat.
  • Slowly whisk in your powder sugar; then stir in your coconut and pecans if using.
  • Frost your cookies; if glaze starts to harden before you are finished, you can melt again over a low heat or add tiny bit of milk.
