So this is one of my new favorite side dishes to make, its easy and delicious! I have always loved the idea of baked macaroni and cheese but have only had a couple recipes that I really enjoyed. We personally like our macaroni on the creamy side.So if you like yours creamy and haven’t found a baked macaroni and cheese that suites you,I don’t think this recipe will disappoint!

Feel free to change the Sharp cheddar cheese for something more suitable for you. This is just what I always have on hand and I love convenient and easy recipes being a busy mom with 2 toddlers and a baby!
How to make a creamy Baked Macaroni and Cheese…
- Preheat oven to 350- and lightly spray a medium size- 2 quart Casserole Dish.
- Start cooking your noodles- I make mine for about a minute less then the directions.
- Drain and pour into medium size Bowl.
- Melt butter in medium size sauce pan over medium-low heat; pour in milk and allow to come to a simmer.
- Measure out Cheeses while butter is melting.
- Once your butter and milk has come to a simmer then add Velveeta, Shredded Sharp Cheddar and cream cheese. Reduce heat to low.
- Whisk until cheese is well combined and smooth.
- Add sauce to Macaroni noodles and carefully mix in; Pour into prepared Casserole dish and sprinkle with Colby Jack Cheese.
- Place in oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes till cheese is melted and bubbly!

Creamy Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 C. Elbow Macaroni
- 1/2 Stick Butter
- 1 1/2 C. Milk
- 1 1/2 C. Sharp Shredded Cheese
- 6 oz. Velveeta Cheese sliced into Cubes This is about 3/4 Cup
- 3 oz. Cream Cheese
- Salt & Pepper To taste
- 3/4- 1 C Colby jack shredded cheese For topping
- Parsley Optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350º- Spray a medium size 2 quart Casserole Dish.
- Begin to cook your noodles according to package; cooking them about a minute less then directed.
- While doing so, melt your butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat. Add in your milk and bring to a simmer. Slowly whisk in 1 1/2 C. of cheddar cheese,Velveeta ,Cream Cheese, and seasoning until cheese is melted and smooth.
- Once noodles are ready; drain; carefully mix in your cheese sauce till combined. Pour into prepared casserole dish and sprinkle with Colby Jack cheese. If using parsley you can sprinkle some on top now. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
