Cheap & EASY… Honey Glazed Blackened Chicken!
Not only is this a cheap meal to make, it’s also super easy! I just start out with about 6-7 lightly seasoned Drumsticks, and a good hot iron skillet!
- Preheat oven to 400
- Lightly Coat a Skillet with some cooking oil and heat over medium high heat until skillet starts to lightly smoke. ( Make sure your Vent is on)
- Seer both sides of Chicken for a couple minutes, then place onto a lightly oiled casserole dish. Cover tightly with aluminium foil and place in oven for 35 Minutes.
- Make Honey Garlic Glaze while chicken is cooking! All you need is…
- Honey
- Ketchup
- Fresh Garlic
- Mustard
- Soy Sauce
- Once the chicken is finished baking ( mine take exactly 35 minutes in a convection oven). Should be 165 F with a meat thermometer. Remove from oven.
- Uncover and brush liberally with your glaze! Return to oven for 10-12 more minutes, just till the glaze has become caramelized over the chicken.
Place onto your favorite serving dish and sprinkle with some sesame seed or fresh parsley! All you need is some warm wipes to clean up those sticky fingers! 🙂
